Making & Breaking World Records
Experimental Education
Sectie-C, 2022.
This is an ongoing project where I am experimenting with the occupation of setting new world records. I am interested to see where it takes the process of making and what sort of material traces will be left behind in my insane quest to become the world’s best designer.
The project’s first public outing was at Sectie-C for their surprise four o’clock performances during Dutch Design Week 2022. I attempted to set a new record for ‘The fastest time to build a wooden hoop and ramp to jump through it on a bike’. As of writing, my record still stands at 10 minutes and 23 seconds, although it might be slightly undermined by the hoop’s instability and need for assistance in standing up.
